Thoughts of cake and Christmas…

Merry Christmas to all! I thank God
for the Christmas.pngblessings of the gift of His son and what He has done for me.

I made this sugar-free, low-carb, gluten-free sup20151222_131610er healthy cake for a customer of the bakery with the help of my friend and bakery owner.  The customer was so excited to have a cake that he could enjoy while sharing the wonderful taste with friends and family that really are able to eat just about anything. One thing that I realized about baking that’s really always been there for me:  I bake to make others feel good. When I bake a cake, cookies, or muffins, part of what I love goes into that food.  Kristy knows when we’re working in the bakery how I talk to my cookies and tell them how beautiful they are.  They’re like my offspring, my creation.

So when this cake was taken home, put on the customer’s table, and enjoyed, I felt as if I could imagine being there. And my cake participated in the joy that was Christmas at that household. My cake put smiles on their faces, treated their bodies to wonderful nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, and helped them to feNativityel good. And it brought me joy.

So thank you all for being a part of what makes my life full and wonderful. By your open arms and acceptance of my baked goods, you are blessing me and trusting me to bring you good health.  Merry Christmas!
